Don’t let the college math education requirement be a barrier...

Some college students will avoid certain majors because of their intimidation about taking the required math classes. Some students will take all the courses for their major except for their math requirement and then some of them just will not graduate because they did not take that very last class that they needed which was a math class. Many colleges have a CLEP* program whereby a student can test out of their required math class and get the credit they need to complete their major and GRADUATE!

There are several CLEP exams besides those for mathematics. The Mathematics CLEP tests are called “College Math”, “College Algebra”, and “Pre-Calculus”. Students can learn from textbooks as well as computer software.
